The 27-year-old winger is preparing to become the latest household name to leave Merseyside for Saudi Arabia. If a deal goes through, Jamaica international Gray will link up with former Liverpool captains Steven Gerrard and Jordan Henderson in the Middle East.

He will be hoping to enjoy a better time under Reds legend Gerrard than he has done while working with Dyche at Goodison Park. Gray impressed many upon returning to England at Everton in 2021, with six goals recorded in each of his campaigns with the Toffees.

Gray has, however, failed to win over Dyche – leading to him being overlooked this season – and is heading for the exits after posting on Instagram: “Everton fans have always been great with me but it’s so difficult to play for someone who don’t show you respect as a person.”

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Gray has taken in 75 appearances for Everton – helping them to avoid relegation out of the Premier League last season – but Dyche is seemingly taking the club in a different direction after making another slow start to the 2023-24 campaign that has delivered one point from a possible 12.
